With the approval of the Hyper-Kamiokande experiment in Japan and the approval of the collaboration agreement, Hyper-Kamiokande moved in June 2020 from a proto-collaboration to a collaboration.
The collaboration elected its first co-spokespersons in December 2020: Prof. Masato Shiozawa (as the Japanese spokesperson from ICRR University of Tokyo, Japan) and Prof. Francesca Di Lodovico (as the International spokesperson from King’s College London, UK). They both bring excellent experience in particle and neutrino physics.
They join the first Institutional Board chairperson: Dr. Emilio Radicioni (from the University of Bari, Italy) elected September 2020 who has extensive experience in neutrino physics. The team will help to guide the experiment through its construction.
